Schedule Your Adult Congenital Heart Disease Certification Exam

Special note for doctors certified in Pediatric Cardiology from the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP)

The registration information applies to both ABIM and ABP candidates for ABIM certification in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Candidates from ABP will need to:

  1. Contact ABIM to apply for an ABIM candidate number; then
  2. Register for the exam between Mar. 1, 2017 through June 14, 2017.

Candidates from ABP are encouraged to note relevant deadlines and plan accordingly to allow for adequate time to submit an application for examination.

To sit for the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Certification Exam:

  1. Complete and submit an online application during an open registration period. Once your application is processed, you will receive a letter from ABIM with instructions on how to schedule a seat at a Pearson VUE test center.
  2. Schedule a seat with Pearson VUE either online or by phone upon receipt of your confirmation notice. Seat assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
