Important Notes

  • Because of the tremendous impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on physicians in this discipline, ABIM has extended MOC requirement deadlines in this specialty through 2023. That means if you had or have an MOC requirement – including an assessment, points, or an attestation – due in 2020, 2021, or 2022 you now have until the end of 2023 to complete it. Anyone currently in the grace period has until 12/31/2023 to meet their assessment requirement. We encourage you to sign into your ABIM Physician Portal to check for any other upcoming deadlines or requirements.
  • All deadlines are as of 11:59 p.m. ET (Eastern time) on the dates listed above.
  • All dates are subject to change.
  • Read more about how to Change or Cancel an Exam
  • Cancellation deadline is two (2) days prior to scheduled examination date. (Example: For exams scheduled May 17, the cancellation deadline would be 11:59 p.m. ET on May 15.)
  • It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to be aware of and comply with seat scheduling deadlines. In fairness to all candidates, ABIM adheres firmly to its published seat scheduling deadlines for its examinations. Candidates are encouraged to apply early in the seat scheduling period.
