Credit from Other ABMS Boards
ABIM works closely with other certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) to streamline the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process for board certified physicians. The ABMS boards listed below recognize ABIM MOC activities in their MOC programs. For more information about other boards’ MOC requirements, please contact the applicable board directly.
The American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI)
ABAI will grant MOC credit to ABAI-certified physicians who complete any one of the following ABIM PIMs Practice Improvement Modules®:

The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
ABFM will grant MOC credit to ABFM diplomates who complete an ABIM PIM (excluding the Self-Directed PIM) in a group setting within a mixed practice. Group PIMs must be ordered by an ABIM diplomate, and may be eligible for reward or recognition from participating health plans. Notification of a completed PIM will be sent automatically to ABFM within thirty (30) days of completion.

The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP)
ABP will grant MOC credit to ABP diplomates participating in ABIM's MOC program who:
- Have earned at least 50 points of MOC credit through ABIM.
- Are in the final year of ABP's MOC cycle.
Diplomates who meet the above requirements must complete ABP's ABIM Reciprocal MOC Credit Attestation Form (pdf). For more information, contact MOC@abpeds.org.
