The American Board of Internal Medicine is seeking a new member for the ABIM Cardiovascular Disease Exam Committee. In particular, we are seeking candidates with clinical expertise and experience in vascular disease. ABIM’s exam committees create assessments for specialty Certification and Maintenance of Certification. In doing so, they play a crucial role in helping us all define the scope of our specialties.

The exam committee selection process will consider each candidate’s clinical expertise, career accomplishments, and experience with professional assessments. Demographic and regional factors will be considered in support of the committee's intent to reflect the clinical community and ensure a relevant, high-quality assessment.

We are especially interested in candidates who spend at least 50% of their professional time in direct patient care. We also welcome those who divide their professional time across patient care, teaching, research, and administrative activities.
