Claiming CME Credit

The AMA recognizes the educational effort associated with successfully achieving American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) member board certification. ABIM is a member board of ABMS. Upon achievement of your ABIM Board Certification in internal medicine or a subspecialty, you will be eligible to claim AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™ directly from the AMA.

Visit the AMA website to learn more. As documentation of your certification, the AMA will require either:

  1. A copy of your new ABIM certificate

    OR

  2. A copy of the certification notification letter you received from ABIM
