ABIM knows that we have many physicians whose lives have been upended by recent natural disasters. If you live or work near an affected area, we understand that the weather may have impacted your ability to take your Fall 2017 exam as scheduled. We have developed a series of options to help you get through this process as smoothly as possible. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-441-ABIM (2246) or email request@abim.org.

American Board of Internal Medicine home page

MOC is a professionally determined standard that attests that an internist is staying current in knowledge and practice throughout his/her career.

Initial Certification indicates that physicians have met rigorous standards through intensive study, accredited training and evaluation and that they have the clinical judgment, skills and attitudes essential for the delivery of excellent patient care.

For more than 75 years, Certification by ABIM has stood for the highest standard in internal medicine and its 20 subspecialties.

Helpful features to make your experience easier

Can I batch submit?

In addition to individually submitting evaluations, you can send evaluations in batches to ABIM via the “Ready to Submit” tab in FasTrack®. Evaluations that do not require attention based on ABIM data requirements are saved to the “Ready to Submit” tab, and can be submitted together in one action. You will be asked to confirm submission of the records and alerted if any records would result in a loss of credit for the academic year.

Can I sort columns?

Trainee records are displayed in sortable lists in the FasTrack system. Users can sort in descending or ascending order on the following fields: last name, training year and academic year. This feature may be helpful in identifying graduating residents/fellows and prioritizing their evaluations.

How many FasTrack user accounts can my program have?

Up to four users can be associated with FasTrack per training program, and users are identified in the system by their unique e-mail address. A role must be assigned to each user, with the program director and program coordinator retaining the ability to submit evaluations and add/remove users. The “other” role may be assigned to staff or faculty, and is essentially a data entry role that has read/write/edit/save access to FasTrack. Please do not share account information. Only designated FasTrack users should be logging into FasTrack and working with trainee information.

FasTrack user accounts are managed via the Accounts/Settings link in the upper right corner of the FasTrack screen. When entering a new FasTrack user, remember to select the “Save” button at the top of the Accounts/Settings page before leaving the screen.

Can I change the start/end date for the academic year for my program?

FasTrack's default start and end dates for the academic year are July 1 of the previous year and June 30 of the current year. Programs may change the start and end dates for all of their trainees by using the Accounts/Settings link in the upper right corner of the FasTrack screen. When changing these dates, remember to select the “Save” button at the top of the Accounts/Settings page before leaving the screen.

The start and end date entered into Accounts/Settings will be reflected on all evaluations loaded into FasTrack after those changes were made and saved in Accounts/Settings. FasTrack users can still make changes to individual trainee records, for instance, if a trainee is off the normal academic cycle.
