Quality and Practice Improvement
ABIM Board Certified physicians have opportunities to participate in approved quality improvement/practice improvement (QI/PI) activities aimed at enhancing the quality of patient care within their practices, while also earning Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points.
These activities enable you to develop actionable insights and drive measurable improvements in clinical outcomes.
Earn MOC Points Through QI/PI Activities
Physicians may be able to earn credit for carrying out QI/PI projects as part of your practice through medical specialty societies, hospitals, medical groups, clinics or other health-related organizations.

Program Directors and Facutly
Program directors and faculty of ACGME-accredited internal medicine residencies and fellowships can earn 20 MOC points annually in recognition of the QI work intrinsic to their roles.
