Special Announcement Regarding Fall 2013 ABIM Examinations

Back

Philadelphia, PA, November 21, 2013 – ABIM is aware that on November 12, 2013, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association released new cholesterol guidelines for reducing atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk. Please note that ABIM has a standard process for evaluating changes in medicine that occur too late in the test administration schedule to replace or modify any examination questions. Test-takers are advised to answer all questions according to their current understanding of clinical principles and practice. ABIM will review questions related to this guideline change and will ensure that individual examination results are not adversely affected. This information appears in the instructions at the start of every ABIM examination.
