The Practice Assessment option for earning MOC points gives ABIM Board Certified physicians the opportunity to participate in activities that help to improve the quality of patient care in their practice.
Quality Improvement/Practice Improvement (QI/PI) activities should include identifying an improvement opportunity in your practice, implementing a change to address that opportunity, and measuring the impact of your change.
You can earn MOC points for many QI/PI projects you are doing in practice through your medical specialty societies, hospitals, medical groups, clinics or other health-related organizations.

Visit CME Finder for QI/PI activities that earn both CME credit and MOC points.

- Contact the sponsoring organization directly for more information about the activity.
- The sponsoring organization may charge additional fees separate from ABIM's MOC fee.
- Eligibility to participate in a specific activity may be restricted by your professional affiliation or location.
- For external activities that were completed in the prior calendar year, ABIM will accept retroactive MOC credit through March 31. No other retroactive MOC credit will be accepted.
